The Macon Touchdown Club, OrthoGeorgia Players of the Week, for the Week of October 11, 2024
OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week for October 11th: Major Simmons, Junior QB/SS, FPD. Major completed 11 of 15 passing for 243 yards and 3 TD’s. He had 12 rushes for 66 yards and 3 TD’s. On the night he totaled 309 all-purpose yards, and 6 TD’s. On defense, he recorded 9 tackles and a tackle for loss in his team’s 49-21 win over John Milledge Academy.
OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week for October 11th: Antonio Slocumb, Junior DL, Rutland High School. Antonio recorded 9 tackles, including 4 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles in his team’s 41-0 loss to Callaway HS.
OrthoGeorgia Special Teams Player of the Week for October 11th: Carson Burnett, Senior K/P, Tattnall Square Academy. Carson had 5 punts, averaging 42 yards per kick, including one downed inside the 6-yard line. He also went 4 for 4 on extra points in his team’s 28-12 win over Stratford Academy.
