Macon Touchdown Club

The Awards Committee met Coach Hatcher tonight to let him know that the OrthoGeorgia Back of the Year would be changed to honor his service to local athletes and the Macon Touchdown Club.

The award will now be named as OrthoGeorgia / Edgar Hatcher Back of the Year.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Shaun Wilmore, Senior RB/FS, Stratford Academy. Shaun rushed 17 times for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also completed a pass for 31 yds. On defense Shaun added 4 tackles from his Free Safety position in his team’s 55-28 semi-final win over Tattnall Square Academy.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Donovan Duncan, Senior QB, Tattnall Square Academy. Donovan completed 15 of 21 pass attempts for 310 yards and 3 touchdowns in his team’s 56-21 playoff win over Westfield.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Jaylun Goodrum, Senior RB/DB, Central Fellowship Christian Academy. From his running back position, Jaylun rushed for 110 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also added 85 yards in receptions and added an 85 yard Kickoff return for a touchdown. On defense, Jaylun accounted for 9 tackles and 2 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown in his team’s 48-6 playoff win over Piedmont Academy.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Cameron Person, Senior Linebacker, Tattnall Square Academy. Cameron accounted for 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 QB sack in his team’s 56-21 playoff win over Westfield.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week : Nick Woodford, Sophomore Running Back, Northeast High School. Nick rushed 35 times for 335 yards and 5 touchdowns in his team’s 41-27 playoff win over Worth County.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Cadricus Stanley, Senior Defensive Lineman, Northeast High School. From his defensive line position, Cadricus accounted for 12 tackles(8 solo-4 assists), 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. He also added a reception of 23 yards and a touchdown in his team’s 41-27 playoff win over Worth County.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Keondre Glover, Senior Running Back, Stratford Academy. Keondre totaled 17 carries for 355 yards and 6 touchdowns in his team’s 49-40 win over First Presbyterian Day School.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Jakhari Williams, Junior Quarterback, First Presbyterian Day School. Jakhari had 26 carries for 217 yards, 3 rushing touchdowns. He also completed 19-35 passes for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the night he totaled 486 all-purpose yards in his team’s 49-40 loss to Stratford Academy.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: DonJuan McGee, Jr., Senior Defensive Tackle, Westside High School. DonJuan accounted for 12 tackles, and 3 tackles for loss in his teams 34-33 overtime win over Howard.

OrthoGeorgia Special Teams Player of the Week: DonJuan McGee, Jr., Senior Defensive Tackle, Westside High School. With a 1 point lead on the line, DonJuan blocked the game tying score in overtime to secure the 34-33 win over Howard.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Aaron Davis, Junior RB, ACE. Aaron rushed 16 times for 179 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 1 reception for 19 yards and a touchdown in his team’s 62-28 win over Southwest.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Johnny Williams, Senior Offensive Tackle, Northeast High School. Johnny graded out at 93% and recorded 3 pancake blocks, in his team’s 66-0 win over Jordan.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Zelin Pollard, Sophomore LB, Howard High School. Zelin had 18 tackles(8 solo and 10 assists), 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack, in his team’s 31-7 win over West Laurens.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Neico Sandifer, Junior WR, Rutland High School. Neico had 5 catches for 179 yards, and 4 touchdowns in his team’s 44-30 loss to ACE.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week: Jaylun Goodrum, Senior RB/DB, Central Fellowship Christian Academy. At his Free Safety position, Jaylun had 12 tackles(8solo-4assists), an interception pick 6 for 99 yards, a 50 yard fumble recovery return, and 2 pass breakups. At his RB position, he added 5 rushes for 98 yards, and 1 catch for 11 yards, in his team’s 42-14 win over Terrell Academy.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Zelin Pollard, Sophomore Linebacker, Howard High School. Zelin recorded 13 tackles(10 solo and 3 assists), 3 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 1 touchdown in his team’s 35-16 loss to Griffin.

OrthoGeorgia Co-Back of the Week: Geo Wade, Junior Wide Receiver, Jones County High School. Geo accounted for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 4 receptions in his team’s 24-7 win over Dutchtown.

OrthoGeorgia Co-Back of the Week: Antone Johnson, Sophomore RB/CB, Tattnall Square Academy. Antone rushed 6 times for 102 yards and 1 touchdown. He also added a 10 yard reception in his team’s 41-13 win over Mount de Sales.

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week: Jamarion Parker, Junior Nose Guard, Jones County High School. Jamarion had 8 tackles (6 solo, 2 assists), 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 4 QB hurries in his team’s 24-7 win over Dutchtown.

OrthoGeorgia Special Teams Player of the Week: Brayden Smith, Senior WR/KR, Tattnall Square Academy. Brayden had 3 kick returns totaling 141 yards. From his WR position he added 3 catches for 50 yards, he also had 2 rushes for 15 yards in his team’s 33-28 win over Stratford.
