Macon Touchdown Club Update For August 19, 2020
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on September 14th.
All members should have received their renewal application last week. If you did not receive it, please let me or Garland know.
We are working with Lonnie Bivins at The Methodist Home for Children, to provide a safe environment for our members, guests, and speakers.
For now, it looks like there will be a few changes. This list could change as the year goes along. Please be flexible if changes have to be made.
(1) Masks will be required when entering the building, and will be required until everyone comes in and we are all seated at a table. Masks can be removed after everyone is seated. Masks will be put back on when you get up to get your food. Masks will be put back on when the meeting is over and we are exiting the building.
(2) The Methodist Home will have someone at the doors to check temperatures, and to keep a count on the number of people in the building.
(3) The elevator will only be accessible to Members or Guests that are Handicapped, or require the use of the elevator. All other Members or Guests should use the door on the lower level.
(4) We will not be using our name badges this year.
(5) Table seating will be more like classroom seating, with rectangular tables, instead of the round tables. This will enable us to Social Distance.
(6) The Methodist Home for Children will be putting the food on our plates while we go through the food line, instead of us serving ourselves.
(7) There will be markings on the floor as a reminder to social distance while in the food serving line.
(8) This will be a hard one, but at the end of the meeting, we will have to make an effort to not crowd around the speaker or other members.
Mike Parker has offered to have SP Design Group provide masks for anyone that will need one. They will be available at the door of the first meeting.
Thank You for being a member of the Macon Touchdown Club.
