The Macon Touchdown Club, OrthoGeorgia Players of the Week, for the Week of October 13th

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week for October 13th: Antone Johnson, Senior RB/DB/KR, Tattnall Square Academy. Antone rushed 11 times for 161 yards and 3 TDs. On Defense Antone accounted for 4 tackles, an interception return for a TD, and a punt return of 36 yards in his team’s 47-14 win over Mount de Sales.

 

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week for October 13th: Jamarion Parker, Senior Nose Tackle, Jones County High School. Jamarion accounted for 17 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 2 Quarterback hurries in his team’s 35-28 win over Dutchtown.

13th Annual Boston Butt Sale To Support the Bobby Sanders Memorial Scholarships

The Macon Touchdown Club is having our 13th Annual Boston Butt Sale. The price of the tickets are $40.00.
We will use the same process as we did last year. Welch’s Country Smokehouse, located at 1687 Bass Road, will be preparing the Boston Butts. All you will need to do is, call Welch’s 24 hours in advance, 48 hours during the Holidays, and let them know when you will making your pick-up. They will have your Boston Butt ready for you to pick-up and enjoy. The tickets for this sale will be good from the day that you purchase, to January 31, 2024.
The proceeds benefit the Bobby Sanders Memorial Scholarship, awarded by the Macon Touchdown Club. Each year the Macon Touchdown Club awards these scholarships to high school seniors. Started in 1987, the Macon Touchdown Club has awarded over $420,000 in scholarships.
Tickets are available through any of the Macon Touchdown Club members.

The Macon Touchdown Club, OrthoGeorgia Players of the Week, for the Week of October 6th

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week for October 6th: Devin Edmonds, Junior Quarterback, Jones County High School. Devin completed 26 of 32 passes for 361 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also rushed 3 times for 21 yards. On the night he completed 81% of his passes and totaled 382 all purpose yards and 6 touchdowns in his team’s 48-17 win over 10th ranked OLA.

 

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week for October 6th: Austin Hanks, Senior Offensive Lineman, Jones County High School. Austin graded out at 95% from his offensive line position, while accounting for 10 pancake blocks, and helping in his team’s 568 yard performance in their 48-17 win over OLA.

The Macon Touchdown Club, OrthoGeorgia Players of the Week, for the Week of September 29th

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week for September 29th: Marquise Lattiner, Senior Quarterback, Rutland High School. Marquise was 18-34 passing for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. as well as rushing 27 times for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the night he accounted for 347 yards and 5 touchdowns in his team’s 39-35 loss to Southwest.

 

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week for September 29th: Joshua McDaniel, Junior Running Back, Rock Springs Christian Academy. Joshua rushed 22 times for 222 yards and a TD in his team’s 26-14 win over Creekside Christian Academy.

 

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week for September 29th: Thomas Union, Junior Linebacker/Fullback, Tattnall Square Academy. From his LB position Thomas accounted for 18 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss and a forced fumble. At fullback, he rushed 4 times for 56 yards in his team’s 41-13 win over Frederica Academy

 

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week for September 29th: William Wimberly, Senior Linebacker, Southwest High School. William accounted for 15 tackles, a sack, 1 forced fumble and a QB hurry in his team’s 39-35 win over Rutland.

OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week for September 22nd: Reginald Glover, Sophomore QB, Northeast High School. Reginald threw for 119 yards and a touchdown, and had 5 rushes for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns, accounting for 201 all purpose yards in his team’s 48-6 win over Southwest.

 

OrthoGeorgia Lineman of the Week for September 22nd: Brooks Garner, Junior Linebacker, Stratford Academy. Brooks accounted for 14 tackles on the night in his team’s 20-14 loss against Brookstone.
